Megan had the honour of becoming an AIPP Master of Photography in 2012 and she is an AIPP Accredited Licentiate:

Megan has won 11 Silver awards at the Victorian Professional Photographer of the Year Awards as well as 9 Silver and 1 Silver with Distinction award at the Canon Australian Photographer of the Year Awards since becoming a member.

I am honoured to have been made a Master Photographer by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) at the Australian Professional Photography awards (APPA). I am an Accredited Professional Photographer. Recently I was made a Licentiate of the AIPP as a mark of respect and recognition of seniority and experience and is only awarded to Accredited Professional Photographers (APP), who have been members of the AIPP for 15 years or more.

“A licentiate is a person who has a formal attestation of professional competence, borne from experience, to not only practice a profession, but also to teach, educate and mentor others in the profession.”

AIPP Accredited Full Members are professional photographers who have completed the AIPP Accreditation process, which looks at their photographic and business practice.” (AIPP website)

Qualifications

Megan completed her Bachelor of Art degree in Fine Art, Photography at RMIT in 1992. A fully accredited member of the AIPP since 2002, Megan was made an associate of the AIPP in 2005, and became a Master Photographer in 2012.

Australian Bridal Industry Awards

After entering the ABIA awards for the first time in a very long time, I was excited to place 6th in the highly competitive wedding photography category with an amazing score of 99.39%! The awards evening was held at Leonda by the Yarra. My lovely friend, Sally Hughes took out the Wedding Celebrant category for the second year running.

So honoured and absolutely tickled pink to be featured on The  Knot as one of the Ten Best Wedding Photographers in Melbourne!

After over 15 years in the business, its still a dream to be able to do a job that brings so much happiness to so many people.Never did I expect to travel to so many amazing locations, witness special events that I would never had access to, and meet incredible people with wonderful stories and families. Surprisingly, one of the best things about this job is all of the wonderful friends I’ve made along the way from working with the best wedding professionals in the industry.

The July 2014 edition of Melbourne Wedding and Bride Magazine, shot on location at The Orchid Room in the QV Building, Melbourne. With it’s exotic decor, the Orchid room was a perfect location to shoot the equally exotic Leah Jay from Viven’s models. Hair and makeup by All things Girlie hair and Magical Makeovers.

The July 2012 edition of Melbourne Wedding and Bride Magazine features our editorial shoot at the amazing Manchester Unity Building. This stunning building is a Melbourne icon, with it’s Art Deco architecture and rich history of resident artists and designers. It’s secret tower with the wrought iron staircase is the perfect unique wedding shoot location .
